In 1992, company founder Chris Wilkins was searching for an MBA school. He found limited resources that provided shadows of information to make an informed decision. Chris returned to Canada in 1994 as a graduate of the London Business School in the UK. He saw the information technology revolution as a springboard to providing resources to students who were searching for post-secondary education; this led to the creation of EDge Interactive.

Since then, EDge Interactive has pioneered online and interactive resources that have helped students find schools and schools find students. The flagship Web site, SchoolFinder.com, Canada's most popular education resource, has laid a foundation on which EDge both innovates and creates new methods of reaching students.

EDge has broadened its scope and now customizes the technology it has built to meet the needs of the industry-specific markets it serves.

EDge, Technology and the Next Steps

At its inception, EDge Interactive's goal was to help students find schools and schools find students. In just five short years we became the number one source for post-secondary information in Canada. Human Resources Canada consistently recognizes our education Web sites in the "Top 100 Internet Sites for Learning and Employment".

We have surpassed all our expectations in reaching this goal; we continue to outperform other online resources for post-secondary education in Canada and the United States by maintaining a strong bridge between our clients and our users.
