Big Dreamers Have Big Inspirations

TORONTO, ON - April 16, 2012 - ScholarshipsCanada.com followed up the Dream BIG Contest with a contest in March to celebrate our educators. The Dream Maker Award was an opportunity for students to acknowledge their teachers, professors, counsellors and administrators who have made a positive difference in their education.

With 30 video submissions from students all over the world, the ScholarshipsCanada.com community was enthusiastic in their praise and admiration for their Dream Makers. Students shared how their Dream Makers inspired them to pursue certain career paths, make a change in the world or to simply follow their dreams.

After two weeks of reviewing all their hard work, which was scored on the depth of creativity, inspiration and production value, the ScholarshipsCanada.com Team has announced a winner!

Congratulations to Leena Halees who nominated Sydney Thatcher, her English teacher at Lester B. Pearson High School. Ms. Thatcher is an inspiration, not only to Leena, but to other students because of her belief in empathy, kindness, justice and willingness to go beyond the call of duty. Get her full story here.
