StudyinCanada.com, in Partnership with Environics Research Group, Releases Results for International Student Survey

Toronto, ON – September 30, 2011

On September 29, 2011, StudyinCanada.com and Environics Research Group presented a webinar on their survey findings of international students.

The International Student Survey was completed by over 1,350 international students who were asked about their experiences in choosing to study in Canada. The survey was fielded in August 2011, with over half of the responses gathered from international students across Canada, Southern Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Some key points from the webinar included:

• International students have very similar preferences to domestic students with a slightly greater emphasis on cost
• Online resources are a major source of information with school websites ranked on top and informational sites like StudyinCanada.com proving to be popular
• School rankings and reputation are highly regarded by international students, and professional consultants and agents are influential in the decision making process
• Job opportunities, cost of studying and safety/security are citied as the top considerations for choosing to study in Canada
• Like Canadian students, international students have a strong desire for online services and a high smart phone penetration
