Relaunched site features new advanced search tools and enhanced program information
TORONTO, ON - April 28, 2005 - EDge Interactive, one of North America's leading education information providers, announced today the relaunch of its Web site, www.StudyinCanada.com. The Web site provides comprehensive information on Canadian education for international students.

StudyinCanada.com's new format delivers easy navigation and clarifies the Canadian education system. |
Key features of the relaunched site include:
- Restructured navigation to help students find program info in fewer clicks
- More powerful advanced searching options; keyword searching by program, school, career or scholarship
- A new financial aid section
- Ability to request information more easily
- A unique "myStuff" folder for saving and retrieving content
- New sections on student life, Canadian culture, climate, geography, news and advice and the Canadian education system
- A new "Applying" section that makes it easier for students to apply online
"During the re-development we paid particular attention to usability from an international student’s perspective," said Marianne Sincennes, Design Manager at EDge. "Based on our focus groups and research, we knew finding program and school information quickly and clearly understanding the Canadian education system were top priorities for students. We wanted to ensure that this information was just one or two clicks away."
The site relaunch coincides with rapidly growing competition among countries such as Canada, Australia, the UK and the US, to attract the best and brightest international students. The Canadian federal government recently easing rules for foreign students and proposing to allow them to work on- or off-campus will make Canada even more attractive to international prospects.
Chris Wilkins, President and CEO of EDge Interactive, commented, "The relaunched site is working to help both sides of the international recruitment equation. We have dramatically improved the navigation and layout to make it easier for international students to find the right institution for their needs. We have also developed features and tools that make it easy for schools to communicate to international students. This winning combination will make StudyinCanada.com a top destination for international students."
StudyinCanada.com was originally launched in 1997, two years after the launch company's flagship Web site, www.SchoolFinder.com. The EDge community of education Web sites, which also includes www.ScholarshipsCanada.com, www.Books4Exchange.com and www.Career-College.com, now receives over 5.4 million visitors a year from virtually every country in the world. There are over 450,000 prospective students, parents, teachers and counsellors registered with the sites.
